Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas out there normalizing parents who consume cannabis. I’m not a mom to human children, just a chicken and cat momma, and I think you’re all superheroes. Follow a few of my favorite canna moms for great content and advice: Shonitria @BluntBlowinMama, Tammy @theCannabisCutie, Amber @fromcarpools2cocktails, Sandie @raging_asian_cannamom, Wulan @wulanrussell, Kim @thehemphousewife, and Rachel @smokesipsavor.
My parent friends who consume cannabis have said that it helps them be more patient, have more fun, and play with their kids. I find this to be true in the other direction too. Consuming cannabis helps me be more patient with my parents and unfold a more open and honest relationship. As we navigate this new modern world of cannabis, teaching our kids and parents about responsible cannabis use is key to changing opinions and undoing the harmful stigmas from the war on drugs.

ICYMI
A new episode of the Fruit + Flower podcast was released last week. Listen to the the Weed Coffee episode on Substack, Apple, and Spotify. This catchy song was too perfect and I made this video about tips for how to come down when you’re too high. I was a guest on The Dime podcast with hosts Bryan and Kellan talking about cooking with cannabis at home and accurate dosing. Apologies in advance for the shouting, I am very passionate about accurate dosing. I wrote my first article “Drink Your Weed” for High Times about the importance of cannabis consumption lounges as a third place and Oakland’s first woman-owned social equity cannabis bar and lounge, Rose Mary Jane.

A Few of My Favorite Things This Month
Sessions Glow Bong
My favorite bong maker Sessions released a Glow in Dark collection and I am obsessed. The way the glass is designed is comfortable to hold, easy to clean, and a joy to smoke out of. I recently met founder Esther Lenoir at an event, which only made me love Sessions even more. It’s also a woman-founded and led company!
Trippy Mushroom Bong
I’ve been enjoying this adorable piece from Hemper Co. all week that makes me feel like I’m seshing with forest spirits in a Miyazaki movie.
Vintage Ikea PS 2014 side table
Spotted someone selling the same stash table I have on FB Marketplace for $225! For sale in West Hollywood, California. Go get it.
Mushroom Mug
Since ya’ll are asking, this cute mushroom mug in my Weed Coffee episode promo is from World Market. There’s a whole collection of mushroom themed everything including a soup tureen, soup crocks, tea rests, cookie jar, sponges, and coasters. Mushroom madness!
That’s it for this post. Short and sweet, gotta run and go bring flowers to my momma!
XOXO, Christina W.
Love the Magu podcast! I am so thrilled to finally connect my Asian heritage and cannabis culture through this beautiful beneficial goddess of the mountains. Living off grid in the Humboldt forests growing cannabis and fruits to share with those in need is right up my ally... I’m so inspired and grateful that you have revived her legacy.
Looking forward to more Mogu Magu🤗
Mahalo for sharing 💫
