How to Make a C*nn*bis Tincture
Stupid-easy. All you need is a mason jar, weed, and high-proof alcohol.
If you’re following the DIY Edibles for Beginners series, we’ve made cannabutter, oil, and milk – the three main carriers for infusing c*nnabis. This next method contains no fat and uses a solvent (alcohol) to extract the c*nna*is oil.
Making a tincture may seem intimidating but once I show you how it’s done, you won’t want to go back to infusing fats. It’s fast, easy, and skips the hours-long heated infusion step. Commonly referred to as Green Dragon, this tincture is made with c*nnabis flower and food-safe high-proof alcohol.
You may be wondering “How potent is this?” “How much flower do I use?” And possibly concerned with “Will I accidentally light my house on fire?”
You laugh, but blowing up my house was one of my legit concerns before Chef Jenn showed me how to make it. Alcohol IS flammable, but this no-heat method of making tinctures doesn’t require cooking off the alcohol.
