Step 5: Type of cannabis to use for cooking and baking. 

Consider these factors when choosing what type of cannabis for making edibles. 

  • Flavor – what will it taste like?

  • Price – how much does it cost?

  • Potency – how high will it get me?

  • Availability – how accessible is it?

Low dose is defined as 5-10mg THC, and high dose is defined as 50-100mg and above. It’s recommended that beginners start low at 5mg THC and slowly increase to find their personal dose. Because everyone’s tolerance and endocannabinoid systems are different, people need different amounts to feel the effects.
