Made with a c*nn*bis-infused spirit instead of gin that glows under UV blacklight! I made this drink at Flower Rave last weekend and it was such a hit that I wanted to share so you can try this at your holiday gatherings.
“Why would anyone drink something that smells like… hairspray?” I thought, the first time I sniffed the forbidden bottle of gin from my parents liquor cabinet. The nose-curdling aroma of juniper berries, botanicals, and ethanol was a conundrum for 10-year-old me.
Alcohol doesn’t smell or taste good to me. I can’t enjoy the beautiful cocktails and drinks that everyone else seems to enjoy so much. While I love making drinks and cocktail culture, the alcohol doesn’t suit me. I know what a proper gin and tonic tastes like, but I don’t like the way it tastes.
When I met Darnell Smith, the founder of MXXN, a hemp-infused alcohol alternative designed to replace the booze in cocktails, I was intrigued. He spent his career in the spirits industry and loved the art of cocktails, but didn’t like the effect alcohol was having on his health and well-being. So he rebuilt the complex aroma and flavor profiles of popular liquors into c*nn*bis-infused non-alcohol spirits.
Finally! Could I finally enjoy a gin + tonic?
MXXN London Dry has the essence as a classic gin with refreshing floral aromas, citrus, juniper, and cucumber notes – but without the sharp bite of alcohol.
